The sister Video to Floorwork Volume I, Calen and Chris continue to guide you through their innovative “Floorwork” helping give the Intermediate/Advanced dancer another level of spatial awareness. They break down more basic body positions and inform you how to support yourself through the use of your technical training. Then they demonstrate some of their signature steps and variations to add to your vocabulary as a dancer. This all concludes with a step by step break down of two contemporary combinations one lyrical jazz and a modern piece, that illustrate methods to help create seamless transitions on and off the floor.

Calen Kurka has taught across Canada, the US and Japan. Currently teaching at Broadway Dance Center, he also teaches for several leading conventions touring the US.  Recognized across the nation for his outstanding and unique choreography, he is the founder, artistic director, and choreographer of “pushing progress,” a contemporary performing and educational workshop company. Performing credits include Tokyo Disney, numerous TV commercials, and Jeff Amsden’s “A Few Good Men Dancin’.”

Chris is steadily establishing himself as one of the most sought after instructors of his time. Teaching throughout the US and abroad he has had the opportunity to inspire many of the worlds best aspiring professionals. He has appeared on television in “Sex and the City” and “Saturday Night Live.” He has also performed with recording artists Mary J. Blige, Mya, and Anastasia.
